5 years since Sweet n Pantyhose blogger passed away

Today is July 28, exactly 5 years since one of the greatest contributors to the hosiery community has passed away from cancer – Sharri Ratcliff, otherwise known as Sweet n Pantyhose. She’s been cremated and part of her ashes were spread in some of her favourite spots and the rest are kept by her husband.

Let’s spend a minute of silence together, remembering her.

I asked her husband, Robert Ratcliff, a.k.a. Outlaw, if there is anything he would like to mention. Here is what he said:

“…(July) 28th 3:40pm EST she passed over peacefully with me and all 5 of our children around her. She regularly contacts me in dreams and through psychics. She starts off mentioning that she will be the first one I see when I pass over.” Robert Ratcliff

I also wanted to share a few beautiful comments I got on social media when I informed my audience that this day is coming up. Here is what they had to say:

“I remember her work. It was so sad and is still so sad to think about. She fought hard, but cancer is a horrible miserable bitch. I still have her review page saved on my eBay account. Thanks for making this post. I hope her widower is doing okay. They seemed like a very happy couple.” Matthew Wilson, via Facebook

“I had several conversations with her, she was truly a sweet lady who had the pantyhose gene.” Dom Oregon, via Facebook

“She was such a wonderful and genuine person.” Nylons99, via Twitter, who met her in Las Vegas in person

“She was a beautiful woman with great legs in pantyhose. She is always missed and I enjoyed her work very much.” Joel Barber, via Twitter

“Her name said it all. She always managed to have mischievous fun in her hose and was a tireless promoter of women’s embrace of them.” David, via Twitter

“She was the first pantyhose girl I found who embraced it. I sure was sad for her husband. They had a really good thing going.” Shawn, via Twitter

“Oh no, where have I been. I didn’t even know. She was a very lovely lass who had a great passion for tights.” Linda, via Twitter

Sweet n Pantyhose 1 year since she passed away

A few months ago Alan from Canada wrote to me the greatest compliment of all. I was pretty moved by it because for me to be seen somewhere near the level that Sweet reached is a big accomplishment.

“Do you remember the lady who went by Sweet NPantyhose?  I always viewed you as her successor after she sadly passed away from cancer.  Like Sweet, you fill the role of non xxx rated pantyhose appreciation that both women and men can enjoy.” Alan, Canada

July 28, 2012 – this is the day when Sweet n Pantyhose passed away due to colon cancer that she was courageously fighting.

Perhaps I’ve never had a chance to meet this wonderful woman in person, but it doesn’t mean that she hasn’t affected my life, the same way she as affected lives of many.

Just recently on my Hawaiian vacation I put on a swimsuit over shiny pantyhose to take some sexy leg photos like she used to do.  Right away I thought about her, that style of modeling is something that I associate with Sweet.  Sunny beach, waves, and her cheerful smile and legs in shiny hosiery was a common scene in her modeling portfolio.

I would like to offer my condolences to Outlaw, her loving husband.  We miss her so much.  She became a legend for all her work and influence in the hosiery community.

Sweet n Pantyhose Passes Away

I would like to encourage people to visit Sweet’s memorial Facebook page.  Her husband, Outlaw, runs it now.  The borders of this blog will be in black for this week in order to express my sorrow.

Tribute to Sweet n Pantyhose

People are dealing with the hard facts to accept about the loss of our pantyhose enthusiast, Sharri, also known as Sweet n Pantyhose.  She passed away in the summer due to cancer.  One of her fans, Aton, created this artistic tribute in the memory of her.

Sharri loved to be on the beach and she even filmed some of her videos from there.  Also, she was a very sweet girl – that’s why the sky has the pattern of a honey comb.

This drawing was done in Photoshop based on some real life photos of Sharri.  You can see more work by Aton here: http://atondigitalart.blogspot.com/

Sweet n Pantyhose loses her battle with cancer

I am very sad to hear these news and I looked over her work with a teary eye.  Of course, I didn’t know her personally, but with this lady being so open about her joys and struggles, I think that all of us feel as if we did.

Sweet and her husband Outlaw were running a pantyhose blog, in some ways similar to mine.  They even organized pantyhose parties and many of their fans had a chance to meet them in person.

In 2010 Sweet was diagnosed with colon cancer that spread to the liver.  She went for chemotherapy treatment and surgery at the Viera hospital.  On July 28, 2012 Sweet passed away surrounded by her family.  Memorial Service for Sweet (Sharri Kimberley) was held on August 25, 2012 in Rockledge, Florida.  Another point that moves to tears – she asked not to spend money on flowers, but to donate it to your local Woman’s Abuse Shelter.

Outlaw, please accept my condolences, even though there is no way for me to even imagine the pain you are going through.  This pain is shared by many, as it is probably impossible to find a person who hasn’t ever lost someone to cancer.

passing of a pantyhose legend – model Adrianne

One of our pantyhose legends, Adrianne, has passed away at the age of 36.

I regret to say that in February of 2012 our online pantyhose community has lost a legend, model Adrianne.

“I am the open bird cage, I am the free bird; living in the moment and loving life.” – that was what she wrote about herself on her Facebook page.  Sadly, this intelligent young woman was only 36 when she departed for the better world.

Her modeling career started in late 1990’s, just after first internet browsers appeared.  She was one of the first pantyhose teaser models on the web and she left a big impression on many.

There were a lot of people who liked her, not only for her beauty and her genuine love for pantyhose, but for her approachable sunny personality.

“As I recall she was a very sweet and outgoing person“, says Sirchristo on the pantyhose forum.  Erik, another member of our community, highlights her easy-going character: “Every time I conversed with her she was really nice and friendly.”

Adrianne was originally from Massachusetts, but she resided in Indiana.  She loved animals, especially horses, and horseback riding was her favourite sport.  Adrianne’s intellect shines through her interest in Reiki healing and in spiritual books mentioned on her Facebook page.

“It’s a beautiful day for Pantyhose!”  – that was a wonderful tag line on Adrianne’s Facebook page to greet the world.  May our community remember her for her modeling contributions and her open and cheerful personality.  She lives on in the memories of many – smart, beautiful, and friendly.

Some of Adrianne’s Favourite Quotations:
